The Format
How the Games Work
Not a string of one-off wins. Twelve couples, ranked event by event, chasing a single cumulative score - and one crown.

Twelve couples, one team each
Twelve couples enter the first Combined Games. Partners compete together - every result is a team result.

Seven events, one combined score
Each event takes both partners' marks and combines them into a single team number: combined time, height, weight, distance, or hold.

Every event ranks the field
All twelve couples are ranked against each other on that combined score. Placement earns points - it's where you finish, not win-or-lose.

Points decide the crown
Points carry across all seven events and the mystery finisher. The highest total is crowned the first Combined Games champions.

Power, speed, control, grip, distance, and endurance. Every score belongs to the team, every event pushes a different kind of pressure.
EVENT 02
Bench Press
Combined one-rep max
Each partner builds to one clean max lift. Highest combined weight wins.
EVENT 03
40-Yard Dash
Combined sprint time
One timed sprint per partner. Lowest combined 40-yard time wins.
EVENT 04
Wall Sits
Combined hold time
Both partners hold for max time. The team total decides the standings.
EVENT 05
Medicine Ball Throw
Combined distance
Best throw from each partner is measured. Longest combined distance wins.
EVENT 06
Hang Time
Combined dead hang
Two hands on the bar, clock running. Add both hang times for the team score.
EVENT 07
One-Mile Run
Combined run time
Both partners run one mile. Lowest combined time takes the event.
Final Event
Hyrox-Style Mini Event
10-20 minutes - to be disclosed
The finisher stays under wraps. Expect a short, hard partner circuit that closes the night after the combine scores are on the board.

The Afterparty
the part everybody remembers most.
When the scores are settled, everybody piles into Stan & Tara's. Tara lays out a spread of appies that are genuinely unreal, and Marlys gets the games going. Last year she had the whole room laughing, competing, and actually together all night. It might've been the best part of the entire thing.
